Adult Protective Services
Adult Protective Services (APS) for NYC is a state-mandated program that is available to persons 18 years of age and older without regard to income who:

  1. Are mentally and/or physically impaired; and
  2. Due to these impairments are unable to manage their own resources, carry out the activities of daily living, or protect themselves from abuse, neglect, exploitation or other hazardous situations without assistance from others; and
  3. Have no one available, willing, and able to assist them responsibly.

Child Abuse Prevention
Learn to identify and prevent child abuse.  We are all entitled to have peace of mind.  Beginning life with peace of mind can help us cope later in life.  Be someone's hero and give a child a chance to grow, feel secure and enjoy life.  If saving a child means changing your life or the life of someone you know, consider the alternative.  The alternative of pleading ignorance or feeling disempowered can be devastating.  Learn how you can prevent child abuse and help the welfare of a child, family member, friend or spouse: click: prevention.
Special thanks to Child Welfare.
